Today, We are going to talk about the Winter solstice and how to create a ritual. A sacred space to make magic happen.
What is Winter Solstice? For those of you that never heard of it....or have but know nothing about it I'll explain the deets now. This solstice represents the shortness day of the year. Marking the 1st day of winter. A celebration of the hours of darkness and rebirth of the sun. This is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal and self-reflection.
This is the perfect time to to sit quietly, rest and set goals for the up coming year. Examine and release your past to make positive personal changes.
This Is a way to reconnect with life’s divine plan and to feel a deep connection to all of life. This solstice is a great way to reflect on your journey. Honor and celebrate YOUR uniqueness.
On every solstice there is an energetic opening and magic can occur. But we must get clear on what you want AND let go of. Miracles have happened….so be on the lookout.
Here is a quote I'd like to share:
The Holiday of the Winter Solstice celebrates the presence of Spirit and the power of faith and hope that our visions of the future will come into manifestation.
All we can do in the middle of winter is pray and hope that the light will return. Winter Solstice is not about having the light. It is about carrying hope and moving toward a vision that we will work to make a reality.
It is a time of patience, like that of an expectant mother who can sense the spirit of the child within but must wait until the actual quickening that physical life is truly within her.
We must wait in the darkness of Midwinter, and this is not easy for most of us who are not comfortable with the dark, silence, resting and dreaming.
In the darkest part of the year when the days are shortest, Nature asks us to slow down and enjoy a cup of warm tea, to be with loved ones, to listen rather than to speak.
Under the ground the earth silently sleeps. Seeds rest in suspended animation, and the animals hibernate. In contrast, we humans rush frantically to the malls, stressing ourselves with activity when we really need to rest, dream and gather strength in our bodies for the coming season of renewal. For many people in the United States, taking the time to dream and rest is seen as a sign of laziness.
However, nature teaches us that resting, drawing inward for a time, is present in all living things. Rest is necessary for growth that comes later in the season.
The Sun will return.”

This is a beautiful representation of this season. So, now lets get ready for our ritual.
The elements to your solstice ritual are:
1st step: You need fire. I use a white candle. White represents purity, purification. You can use any color that calls to you. The fire represents the sun turning back towards the earth. Make sure you are facing the East while performing your ritual.
2nd step: You will need sage or incense. This creates sacredness and a connection to spirit.
3rd step: You will right down 3 things you want to let go of or release. Once you have the 3 things, you will state out loud what you want to release from your life in the new year. Then, carefully burn your paper with your candle. Watch the paper burn and see the smoke going up to the heavens, carrying your intention. You can use a bowl to collect all you burnt paper.
4th step: Write 3 intentions you want in 2021. What could that be? New relationship? New career? Make more home-made meals? Meet new people? Once you have your 3 things, write them in a journal or a note pad. Now you will state these intentions out loud in a statement. Write them in present tense and start off with next year’s date.
It will go like this: Today is December 21, 2021 and I have found more magnificent relationships. I started a new career in personal development. And began cooking like a Michelin chief 3 nights a week. Every night before falling asleep look at your journal with your 3 intentions and read them out loud. The key is to feel into how you would feel once you received these intentions. Like they already happening. Emotion equals motion.
5th step: Ask out loud for a dream to show you the way. Dreams give us so much information and guidance. Make sure to write down your dream once you wake up. They are sure easy to forget.
6th step: Now sit quietly for 5-10 minutes enjoying your fire and sent of your choice. Drop into your heart and listen to what your guidance has to say.
7th step: It's time to close your ritual. Thank the sun for providing heat, vital-life force, and energy we all need to survive. Thank Momma Earth for protecting and supporting us on the daily. If you feel called honor the 4 direction. Step in each direction and say thank you to East, North, West, and South. Finally thank your guidance and your beautiful self.
This is potent energy. I just recently had a co-worker tell me thank you for this solstice ritual. I told her about this in 2018. She said everything she had asked for had come true.
One year During a solstice I called forth anyone who is not in alignment with me or not of the love vibration to please leave. Low and behold one friends dropped from my life immediately. It was like I waved a magical wand. She dropped out with a blink of an eye.
I am so excited to see what you can wield up in your life. I hope you enjoyed this hot nugget of info.
Until next week beautiful. Laugh, love and be uniquely you.
